A Family adventure

The creation of Maison Meï is above all a family story led by two passionate wine professionals, Benjamin Meï and his cousin Bernard Meï.

After his viticultural and winemaking studies Benjamin went on to enrich his career for ten years through many experiences in different regions of France and abroad, particularly in Chile. The numerous awards obtained validated his decision and recognised his expertise.

On returning to his native Provence, Benjamin joined forces with Bernard to create their own wine and trading company. Based in Aix-en-Provence, they utilised the region’s strength and launched their first cuvée in 2015, "Rose Infinie" which has since obtained many awards and accolades.

On the strength of this success, they decided to continue the adventure by buying Domaine Saint Jean in 2019, located in Pertuis in the Vaucluse.
Thus was born Maison Meï, bringing together the pursuit of branded wines and viticulture.

The entire estate has a level 3 HVE (High Environmental Value) certification. This voluntary approach promotes the most environmentally friendly practices. This certification honours the efforts undertaken by Maison Meï, which incorporates all aspects of the domain.

Strong local involvement

The Meï family has been strongly integrated and a pillar of the local economy for four generations. Many relationships have been created, particularly with the winegrowers of their area. This sharing of each person's knowledge and achievements helps to anchor their entrepreneurial adventure even more deeply in their native region.

Benjamin and Bernard are native and proud residents of the area and, while Benjamin has been able to implement his knowledge from abroad, Bernard, also passionate about archeology, stayed in his native Provence becoming a strong economic player in its activities related to sustainable development.

A pioneering adventure

With a desire to perfect their production, Maison Meï carries out numerous “tailor-made” actions, in the cultivation of both the vineyard and the winemaking process.

The entire estate has a level 3 HVE (High Environmental Value) certification. This voluntary approach promotes the most environmentally friendly practices. This certification honours the efforts undertaken by Maison Meï, which incorporates all aspects of the domain.

Within the vineyard authentic and sustainable agriculture practices are followed. The soil is respected, the water resource is perfectly managed, and the biodiversity favoured, the objective is to accompany nature to promote its harmonious development while respecting both the natural cycles of life, soils and vines.

At the same time, the use of the softes techniques during vinification guarantees at the same time the respect of the grape, the balance of the juice, the power of the wine and the authenticity of the terroir.
